Pregnancy Preparation

Everyone hopes to be able to concieve easily and have a health baby. However, this might not be possible for everyone. Couples need to consider what they can do to prepare for a pregnancy.

Taking a proactive approach in preparing yourself for pregnancy will allow you to give your baby the best start in life and might even help you fall pregnant.

Areas to consider include:

  • Lifestyle
  • The mother's health before and during pregnancy
  • The father's health
  • The health history of both sides of the family
  • Social support and mental health

Relax and enjoy the time with your partner, knowing you have done everything you can to prepare for a healthy pregnancy. If nothing happens and you are getting concerned, talk to your GP or gynaecologist.
